How to Become a Christian

Some folks may think they are a Christian just because ...

  • I'm a good person
  • my mother was a Christian
  • I went to church when I was growing up
  • I go to church now
  • I believe in God
All those things are good, but none of them make you a Christian.  To be a Christian means you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as both your Savior and your Lord.  To enter into that relationship you need to:
  • admit that you have fallen short of God's standard of perfection and need His forgiveness
  • believe that Jesus Christ is God come in human form and that He lived a perfect life, died and became alive again in order to pay the price for our sins so we could live in relationship with Him
  • ask for His forgiveness and believe His promise that He will never turn away anyone who honestly comes to Him
  • be willing to allow Him to be the one in charge of your life and commit yourself to following His leadership and teaching
If you have done these things, God has welcomed you into His family and we would love to welcome you at our Church  where we meet together and encourage one another in growing to be more like Jesus.
If you are considering doing these things, or just want to know more, please contact us or join us at one of our services or events (see Regular Services, Upcoming Events, and Announcements on our home page).
